Ingredients
  

For the Sandwich

  • 1 lb shaved steak or thin-sliced ribeye The star of the show, offering incredible flavor and tenderness.

  • 4 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese Creamy and melty goodness.
  • 2 hoagie rolls or sandwich buns, split The perfect vessel for the filling.

For the Fries

  • some crinkle fries, cooked to crispy perfection Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside.
  • to taste ranch or garlic aioli for dipping A luscious sauce for the fries.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced green bell pepper and sliced onion. Sauté for 5-7 minutes until soft and fragrant.
  • Add the shaved steak to the skillet, seasoning with salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook everything together until the steak is browned and tender, about 4-5 minutes.
  • While the steak and vegetables are cooking, take your hoagie rolls and lightly toast them under the broiler.

Assembly

  • Once toasted, stuff the rolls with the steak and veggie mixture and generously top with cheese.
  • Return them to the broiler for 1-2 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Serving

  • Serve your Cheesy Steak Sandwiches alongside crispy crinkle fries and your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

For a deeper flavor, consider marinating the steak in Worcestershire sauce for an hour before cooking. You can also add jalapeños for a spicy kick or try different cheeses for variety.
