Ingredients
  

Cheesecake Filling

  • 450 g softened cream cheese Lends a rich, velvety texture.
  • 100 g granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs Added one at a time.

Chocolate Cake

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 400 g granulated sugar 200g in filling and 200g in cake.
  • 75 g unsweetened cocoa powder Enhances the chocolate flavor.
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 1.5 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup whole milk Use at room temperature.
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water Activates dry ingredients.
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Enhances chocolate flavor.

Chocolate Ganache

  • 1 cup heavy cream Heated until boiling.
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips Pour the heavy cream over.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  • In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Add eggs one at a time, ensuring they integrate fully into the mixture.
  • Pour the cheesecake filling into one of the prepared pans and set it aside.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture and mix thoroughly until smooth.
  • Carefully pour in the boiling water and stir until combined.
  • Pour the chocolate batter into the second prepared pan.

Baking

  • Bake both pans in the oven for about 30-35 minutes.
  • Check for doneness using a toothpick; it should come out clean.
  • Let the cakes cool in their pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.

Making Ganache

  • Heat the heavy cream until it begins to boil.
  • Pour the hot cream over the semi-sweet chocolate chips and stir until smooth.

Assembly

  • Layer the chocolate cake on a serving plate, add the cheesecake filling on top, followed by the second layer of chocolate cake.
  • Slather the chocolate ganache over the top and let it drizzle down the sides.
  • Chill the entire cake in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

All ingredients should be at room temperature for better consistency. Spoon flour into the measuring cup to avoid packing. For an extra chocolate flavor, consider adding espresso powder or chocolate syrup.
