  • 3 cups creamy vanilla ice cream Creates a sweet and smooth base.
  • 1/2 cup whole milk Adds a silky texture.
  • 1/4 teaspoon mint extract Or 1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract for flavor.
  • 4-6 drops vibrant green food coloring Or a small dab of gel coloring.
  • 1 pinch fine salt Optional, to enhance sweetness.

Toppings

  • 1/2 cup whipped cream For topping.
  • 2 pieces maraschino cherries To add color and sweetness.
  • 1 tablespoon green sprinkles Optional for a festive touch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Chill your glasses by placing two tall glasses in the freezer for about 5 minutes.
  • In a blender, combine whole milk, mint extract, food coloring, optional salt, and slightly softened vanilla ice cream.
  • Blend on low speed briefly, then increase to medium speed and blend until thick and smooth, about 20-30 seconds.
  • Taste the shake and adjust mint flavor and color as needed with extra mint extract or food coloring.
  • Pour the shake into the chilled glasses.

Serving

  • Top each glass with whipped cream, a maraschino cherry, and green sprinkles.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Consider mixing crushed mint leaves for added flavor. For a healthier version, replace part of the ice cream with Greek yogurt.
