Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed chocolate cookies and melted butter until well mixed. The mixture should resemble wet sand.
  • Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish to form the crust.
  • Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove it from the oven and let it cool completely.
  • Once cooled, spread the softened vanilla ice cream evenly over the crust.
  • Drizzle the hot fudge sauce generously over the ice cream.
  • Freeze the cake for at least 4 hours or until it’s fully set.
  • Before serving, top with whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings or sprinkles.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate sandwich cookies. Add a splash of vanilla extract to the melted butter for extra richness. You can layer different ice cream flavors for variety.
