  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar to add a touch of sweetness to the crust.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted yielding a rich and luscious mouthfeel.

For the cheesecake filling

  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened ensuring a creamy, smooth filling.
  • 1 cup granulated sugar contributing to the overall sweetness of the cheesecake.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract infusing warmth and depth to the flavor.
  • 3 large eggs adding structure and richness.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream creating a tangy balance to the sweetness.
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour providing stability to the cheesecake.
  • 1 cup chopped pecans offering a delightful crunch and nutty flavor.

For the topping

  • 1 cup caramel sauce delivering a heavenly sweet drizzle.
  • Whipped cream for topping for a light and fluffy finish.
  • Whole pecans for garnish adding an elegant touch and extra nuttiness.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  • In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup of sugar, and melted butter; press into the bottom of the pan to form a crust.
  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with 1 cup of sugar until smooth. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each. Blend in sour cream and flour until just combined, then fold in chopped pecans.

Baking

  • Pour the batter over the crust, spreading it evenly. Bake for 55-60 minutes until the center is set but jiggles slightly.

Cooling & Serving

  • Allow to cool to room temperature, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Before serving, drizzle with warm caramel sauce, add whipped cream, and garnish with whole pecans.

Notes

Allow your cream cheese to soften completely for a smoother filling. Use fresh pecans for better flavor. To avoid cracks, bake in a water bath. Do not overmix after adding eggs.
