Preparation

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until it shimmers.
  • Add the sliced onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  • Toss in the sliced mushrooms and sauté until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Stir in the minced garlic and thyme, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste and mix well.
  • Serve the mixture on toasted bread or as a filling in a sandwich.

Notes

For extra creaminess, add cheese on top and broil until bubbly. Experiment with different types of bread for unique flavors.
