Sauce Ingredients

Vegetables

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil Used for stir-frying.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  • Toss the thinly sliced flank steak with cornstarch until coated.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, honey, and sesame oil.

Cooking

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add beef in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove beef and set aside.
  • In the same pan, sauté minced garlic and grated ginger for 30 seconds.
  • Add sliced red bell pepper and shredded carrots, stir-frying for 2-3 minutes.
  • Return seared beef to the pan, pour in the reserved sauce and stir to coat.
  • Add cooked noodles, toss until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with sliced green onions, chili flakes, and sesame seeds. Serve hot.

Notes

To enhance flavor, marinate the flank steak for an hour before cooking. For a vegetable-forward dish, add broccoli, snap peas, or mushrooms. A splash of rice vinegar can brighten flavors. Prepare all ingredients beforehand since stir-frying is quick.
