  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (cremini or button) Adds depth and complements the beef.

  • 2 tablespoons butter Creates a luxurious sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Healthy fat for perfect sear.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Let your steak rest at room temperature for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Season the beef steak generously with salt and pepper on both sides.

Cooking

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.
  • Place the steak in the pan and sear for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
  • Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest on a plate for about 5 minutes.
  • In the same skillet, add the butter and minced garlic, sautéing for about 30 seconds.
  • Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  • Return the rested steak to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter and mushrooms over it and warm for 1-2 minutes.

Serving

  • Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Consider using a meat thermometer to check the doneness. Medium-rare is around 130-135°F (54-57°C). Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
