Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8-inch springform pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter, then press firmly into the bottom of the pan to form a crust.
  • Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  • Melt the dark chocolate gently and let cool slightly.
  • In another bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy; mix in the vanilla and cooled melted chocolate.
  • Fold in the whipped cream gently until well blended.

Assembly

  • Pour the mousse mixture over the crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Serving

  • Once set, carefully remove from the pan, slice into portions, and serve chilled.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate for better flavor. Ensure heavy cream is cold when whipping for optimal volume. A pinch of salt can enhance the chocolate flavor.
